| When it comes to trail ultras, Pat Hamel is one of the fiercest competitors on the East Coast. Not too many people would have expected a course record this year after 2.5 inches of rain the day before. Not too many people except maybe Pat - and he just might have set a new record had he not taken a bad fall during the final section of the course. How anyone could have run a 5:02 through that mud I'll never know. But after 4 runs to the dam, and 3 victories, Pat is the one to ask. Congratulations Pat! |
