"My Daddy's Crazy"
Nobody ever said ultra runners were the most sane group of individuals. But Mark Loughran had a special sparkle in his eyes when he lugged his heavier-than-usual pack across the dam with a time of 10:54:51. That's over an hour slower than Mark's time last year. What could explain this sluggish performance? Well our on-course cameras caught Mark early in the race and can confirm that Jeremy Topp is no longer the youngest Wakely finisher. "The kids a real fighter.." says Mark. "She actually carried me most of the way."
