Barry Erickson
Registered runner Barry Erickson could not make it to the race on time. In fact, he was a week late. But that did not stop Barry from running to the dam anyway. The weather was about the same, the trail was the same... (and heck, we didn't get a bus either!)... But when Barry crossed the finish line in 177:22:39 there was no one there to celebrate his accomplishment...save the lone photographer who caught this pitiful site. A man broken, alone....but proud in the fact that the dam would not win this year. In case you couldn't do the math, Barry finished in an unofficial 9:22:39... that's not quite as good as his time last year of 8:08:03.
