The 4th annual Damn Wakely Dam Ultra kicked off without a flaw.
The rain that fell during the week leading up to the event was gone — not a cloud in the sky.  Temperatures were cool and a slight breeze whispered over the Adirondack wilderness.  The bus arrived early, some runners arrived a tad late.  But everyone that wanted to run were lined up at the trail head for the 6:35AM start.  Thanks to the runners and our Professional CREW for making this year's run a great success!

Top Finishers — Inge Aiken and Tim Seaver at the finish
Conditions were perfect for a new course record and Vermont's Tim Seaver delivered with an eye opening time of 5:05:50. That's more that 15 minutes quicker that John Waldron's 2002 time. In fact, 2nd place finisher, Dan Dominie, also bettered the previous record. Vermont's Bob Dion finished off the top three.

45 Brave Souls risked life and limb running to the dam. They all made it, but one limb almost didn't.  All of the runners were treated to some cool beverages, a goodie bag from our sponsors and this year's Damn Wakely Dam Ultra T-Shirt.
