What's holding this man up?

When 61 year old Barry Erickson pulled into Wakely Dam he was a 3 to 1 sure bet to tip over and into the Cedar River Flow.  Charles Thayer offered Barry one of his Viagra to straighten him up. But he pushed on as though some secret fantasy compelled him forward.  What could he have been thinking about that spurred him on so?

Once we got him down off of his private cloud nine, we discovered that he sustained an injury to his hand worthy of this year's Best Blood Award.
