HAMEL SETS NEW COURSE RECORD!

        
2006 Damn Wakely Dam Ultra winners Pat Hamel and Kerry Arsenault

No human has ever completed the 32.6 miles (52.5K) of the Northville Placid Trail between Piseco and Wakely Dam faster than Patrick Hamel of Holland Patent, New York in his third appearance at Wakely.  His time of 5:05:00 topped Tim Seaver's 2004 time of 5:05:50.   Kerry Arsenault of Guilford, Connecticut came close to the woman's record with a time of  6:09:40.  Despite 12 hours of pounding rain and flooded trail most of the runners of the 2006 Damn Wakely Dam Ultra scored better than expected times. Great Job Everyone!
