Hey, under nine and a half hours for Wakely is pretty darn good considering Mary had never so much as ran a marathon distance before.  Not to say she isn't a good athlete - that much is obvious.  But Mary took planning for the wilderness very seriously and ran a text book Wakely, wrong turns included.  Read up on Mary's journey to Wakely in her Letter from Camp.
