2002 Winners
First- in-Sex winners John Waldron and Courtney Fenstermacher pose for the press after their record breaking victories at this year's Damn Wakely Dam Ultra. No shirt, no shoes, no problem.
John Waldron, a school teacher from Saranac Lake, NY, ripped more than two hours off the top of Frank Harrison's course record set last year. John's finish in 5 hours 21 minutes and 16 seconds makes him king of all things Wakely and supreme ruler over all of the West Canada Lake Wilderness. Courntey Fenstermach of Birdsboro, PA bested last year's winner, Inge Aiken by just over one minute with a women's record shattering time of 6 hours 5 minutes and 25 seconds. Courtney seemed unimpressed by John's newly granted entitlements - even without his shirt.
