Douglas Girling - 7:42:00
Sweep time adjusted for late start.

Every year RD Jim scours through the ranks of the waitlisted for the perfect sweep runner (in other words, some one desperate to get it).  A good sweep should at least be a strong runner adept at wilderness navigation.  Not only was Doug a really strong runner, but he is a physician with the Lower Adirondack Wilderness Rescue Crew.  He's like a real life Doc Hollywood - his car broke down in Greenfield and the locals wouldn't let him go.  It almost seems like a waste some one didn't drop out there.

All he needs are the skis.

It's nice to keep the doctor waiting for once - payback's a bitch.
